    Course Description

This course will cover major topics of VLSI architecture and their applications to digital communication baseband designs. The content of VLSI architecture includes techniques commonly employed in architectural optimization. With these techniques in your mind, this course then describes issues related to the hardware implementation of digital communication systems, especially for the baseband design. Starting from an algorithm, students will learn how to develop the corresponding VLSI architectures and evaluate different design alternatives for some specific components used in state-of-the-art digital communication systems.
